The education of our children is vital to our community. The goal of the Cheder is to provide children with the opportunity to learn about their religion in an engaging and warm environment. We want the children who attend Cheder to be enthusiastic about their Jewish identities. In addition, we aim to provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to become active Jewish adults.

Cheder sessions take place two Sundays per month during the academic year (from September to July). We begin at 10am and we conclude at 12.15pm. The children have one hour of Hebrew education and one hour of Jewish Studies, with a 15 minute break between lessons.

There are currently two instruction groups in the Cheder based on age. The children in the Cheder are aged 5 to 13 years old.

If you would like any information regarding the Cheder, please contact the Headteacher by email at cheder@mkdrs.org.uk.
